![]() ![]() Van Hise recalled Zuckerman’s stint as acting superintendent of schools while the district was making the transition from Edwards’ retirement. School board president Patricia Farmer and school board member Kevin Van Hise thanked Zuckerman for his service to the district, the parents and the community. He also thanked Zuckerman’s family for “sharing” him with the public school district. ![]() Kasun praised Zuckerman for his work in the school district. He also served as the acting superintendent of schools in 2018 following the retirement of former Superintendent of Schools Crystal Edwards. He was later appointed to become the principal at the Lawrence Middle School, and subsequently named to become the assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction. Zuckerman, who has worked for the Lawrence Township Public Schools for 18 years, was hired in 2004 as the assistant principal at the Lawrence Intermediate School. The vacancy will be filled by an interim assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction while school district officials search for a replacement for Zuckerman, he said.
